Let the countdown begin

We are officially in countdown mode. Less than 15 days til the end of the school year. And let me tell you, we all CAN'T wait!! By the time school ends, soccer will be over (except for 2 summer tourneys), S will be packed to head home for the summer (sad for us, nice for his parents who I know have missed him terribly), and A will be ready to start her chef lessons. C will get some much deserved rest time.

Yesterday was typical of a Monday during soccer season. Get 3 kids home from school (4 if you count dnephew who I keep for a while on Mondays and Wednesdays), work on homework - which of course is massive compared to the rest of the week, get ready for soccer, get S to work, get C to soccer, A and I play or read while at practice (sometimes even run errands if there's time). Then after practice it's Skyline time so that we can have a halfway decent meal at a halfway decent time. Back home for showers, reading and, if she's lucky, C will have time to watch one of her fav shows Dancing with the Stars. (Of course she's rooting for Billy Ray, a/k/a Mylie's/Hannah Montanna's dad. :-) There are priorities you know.

That leaves the rest of the week for catching up. Ugh - and after Mondays we all need it!
