Let the craziness commence

Ok, so it's MAY - the busiest time of the year for my kids!!! And this year will be extra special with S graduating!!

So here's the scoop. I'm still teaching. The 8th graders are counting down daily and it won't be long til they're gone. Many of them have already "checked out" at this point, but mean teacher that I am, I keep giving them work to do! They're still fun though, which helps tremendously. I'm enjoying it though, so that helps!

S is working hard, about ready to start a new job, trying to get college stuff finalized, and trying to stay focused as graduation gets closer. He's got senioritis, but I'm hoping he can keep up the good work until the end of school. I'm a little worried about him with this weekend being Mother's Day. His stepdad is coming into town to visit his own mother, so it'll be nice for S to visit with him. He will also come into town for S's graduation! :-)

C is refing, playing soccer and keeping up with schoolwork. She's also helping me around the house, and hanging with friends and just generally acting like the teen she is. I'm really impressed with how grown up she's being. Hopefully it'll stay this way!!

A is keeping up with homework and enjoying the computer and outside weather. She's been sick a lot lately but is now well on the way to mending. We're glad she's feeling better!!

My Darling Hubby continues working like crazy, but is as helpful as he can be when he's not working. This weekend I hurt my knee (old softball injury - I played tennis ball baseball with my brothers-in-law and nephews and went 2 for 3) and he stepped up and took care of most of the laundry for me. The house is a wreck, but we'll get it straightened up at some point.

I do have to say that I saw my old boyfriend (the one I broke up with so I could date Darling Hubby) over the weekend. Didn't get to talk to him, but I have to say: while it was nice to see him doing well, I was so thankful for my Hubby. I love him dearly and am thrilled he is my better half. It's always nice to be reminded of how much you treasure someone - and I sure do treasure my Love. :-D

I'm not one for wishing time away, but I honestly can't wait until S graduates and the girls are out of school (which means I will be too!). It's been a rough spring and it'll be good to get it over with and enjoy summer (hopefully!).

Again, sorry for the lack of pics, but quite honestly it's all I can do to keep up with this!
