Reflecting back...

The school year is coming to a close. As much as I look forward to it, it always amazes me at the speed with which it comes.

C is graduating this year, heading to high school. While I'm excited for her and this next part of her life, I have a hard time believing she is really leaving her school where she's spent 9 years. We've had the best and worst at the school (the best being the past few years). I have no doubt she's ready for her new adventures. I'm so very proud of her. She's grown into a loving, caring, fun-loving, athletic, intelligent young woman who is up for any challenge, whether on the field, in the classroom, or just in her life in general. These next few weeks will be a time of fun with her friends and celebrating all her accomplishments - just as it should be.

A moves from elementary to middle school (doesn't change schools though). My little one has grown a lot in the past year. She's more confident and open to new friends and experiences. She still doesn't always enjoy a challenge, but she responds to them with beauty, grace and a humorous wit that makes me smile (even when she doesn't want me to!). I can't wait to see where the next 3 years take her.

Life was crazy at the beginning of the school year with S moving out on his own. While we miss him, he's brought a wonderful girl into our lives, his lovely girlfriend D.

My husband changed jobs in August and is back to being home with us during the week. While it took some time to adjust, it's been wonderful having him with us. A few weeks ago we celebrated his 40th birthday. I've been blessed to be with him for half his life. He's certainly made mine more wonderful, crazy, and at times, infruriating.

My life is like a wonderful, colorful kalidescope: always changing in ways I don't expect but am grateful for.

Life moves quickly, doesn't it? Our kids are growing up so fast! Your girls are turning into beautiful ladies.

Glad your sweetie is home more! I hated when mine worked overtime constantly.

Sounds like you're enjoying life and living it to the fullest! Thanks for the update!
