Summer is officially over.
Not because Labor Day has come and gone, but because the annual fireworks show has blown up summer. The annual big bang comes the day before Labor Day and always brightens the sky with color while soothing the soul with classic rock music, pop culture references and just general fun.
This year we enjoyed the show with a few friends down on the river. It's a great time and we're grateful for the invite. Food, drink, cornhole, music, friends, a military tribute (this year we saw a transporter plane and some skydivers - in the past we've seen a stealth fighter and a fighter jet that literally hovered over the crowd - so awesome!) and fireworks.
